On October 9, The Oyster City was officially opened in Marennes.

Gibson International Ltd  completed the design and concept development for this important interpretation centre dedicated to oyster farming and the natural environment of Marennes-Oléron, France.

Four Multimedia shows and a main multiscreen immersive theatre offer themed attractions that celebrate this unique place. The hi-tech nature of the scenography is well integrated in a beautiful environment of boardwalks and outdoor paths that include interpretative elements between the different cabins and buildings across the site. Visitors can spend between a few  hours or a full day discovering the interpretation centre, the fully functional oyster farm and the oyster tasting and dining options at the Centre’s restaurant.
