Welcome back to beautiful Paradise Island for more sizzling summer fun and spooky scares. Our gang believes they’ve got the ghost problem well and truly busted. But just when they thought it was time to settle down and enjoy a quiet mango smoothie in the café, things start spiralling out of control all over again. And not with Tai’s hair. Time for more trouble in Paradise!
Seaborn Tai attempts to make sense of his new identity. He defeated Ragnar, so he must be able to fix anything with his powers right? His first test is Chloe – to stop her turning back into a sea ghost. If he can’t the gang risk losing one of their best friends.
Megan has been working hard at the café but all it seems to have bought her is trouble. So she’s living by a new motto, to have fun everyday and enjoy the summer. That means Robbo’s on smoothie duty. But he doesn’t seem to mind doing anything as long as there’s the chance to meet girls. With the hotel struggling to stay open, Abi’s shopping days are over. Can she cope with a serious credit crunch and learn to embrace low budget retro chic? Does it even count as retro if you just bought it last season?
Peter’s coral seal, which trapped the black ooze and Ragnar within the reef, has been destroyed. He thinks some unexplained force blew the seal apart. Peter’s new lab assistant Natasha has a much better idea, although she’s not letting on because she did it! Behind that lab coat there’s a journalist in the making, and in her eyes there’s a good story hiding somewhere in that coral. The gang have no idea about Natasha’s devious tactics. To them the broken seal means Paradise Café just got crazy again.
Just like series one, every action packed stand-alone episode will feature a sea ghost causing trouble for the kids. There’s a clumsy cat burglar; a glam girl wrestler who thinks she can beat any challenger - including boys; and a feisty pirate who needs some lessons in teamwork.
But whatever bother the sea ghosts bring, the kids must be kind and try to help them get what they want. If they don’t, they risk the ghosts sticking around forever. Or worse, if Natasha finds out who these strange visitors really are, or about Tai’s super powers, then their secret could be revealed to the world.
Paradise Café is based on an idea by Jan Etherington and Gavin Petrie.
